Producer, Author, and Illustrator worked closely to design original fonts and characters who would resonate with children under six. Inspiration was drawn from their own childhood experiences while research was conducted using access to the nieces, nephews, and students in their lives.

Seattle culture in the nineties is incorporated in every page in either the text or illustrations. The story will also resonate with anyone who can relate to living in a climate that has 'socks with sandals' weather.
